Moonfare`s legal team is growing and evolving from generalists to specialists while creating new positions. A new opportunity is to actively explore potential new investment products that will be launched on the Moonfare platform as a specialized senior legal advisor. You engage and negotiate with various stakeholders, from business partners to external consultants and service providers. You`ll also work closely with other team members to structure and launch the products, leading the legal side of the project from start to finish. You like to think independently and have the opportunity to design new products with great potential for impact and added value for the company. You`ll also have the opportunity to develop processes and practices as part of a team of experts who appreciate friendly collaboration and plenty of space to experiment. Marla is Head of Investor Solutions at Moonfare and has been with the company for over 2.5 years. She began her career as a finance intern and returned after graduation to support our backend operations related to fund management and reporting. Marla has continued to develop and strengthen the Investor Relations team, where she is now responsible for our core market, Germany, as well as organic expansion and growth in Austria. She holds a bachelor`s degree in international business from Maastricht University with an exchange program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. and a Master`s degree in Finance from Nova Business School in Lisbon. Private equity funds have long been one of the most attractive investment options, outperforming public market benchmarks such as the S&P 500.
But these funds were also difficult or impossible to access, especially for individuals. Boring paperwork, high minimum investments (~10 million euros) and difficulties in selecting a fund were obstacles that prevented individuals from doing so. Access has always been dominated by institutions or a privileged few. Moonfare happens. Frederik has a long career at BlackRock, one of the world`s largest asset managers and a pioneer in the investment industry. He worked there for 16 years as Head of Alternative Sales, Head of EMEA Retail Sales and later as Head of International Distribution Technology. Polansky co-founded the Parker Foundation in 2010 with renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist Sean Parker and is currently its executive director. Prior to joining Parker Group, Polansky worked at Bridgewater and Founders Fund, where he focused on the consumer internet and emerging technologies. In addition to his work at the Parker Foundation, Polansky is also a Managing Partner at Parker Ventures, CEO of Parker Group, and a board member of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. Polansky is also co-founder of Avos Capital Management, a private investment firm that manages bespoke portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and families.
He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science. Matt joined Insight in 2010 and invests globally in high-growth companies in financial technology, digital commerce, cybersecurity and healthcare IT. Since 2021, he has been a member of Moonfare`s Advisory Board. Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in finance and engineering. Sam is Head of Investor Solutions, our team of investment professionals focused on private clients. Based in Berlin and regularly in London, Sam leads our growing team of investor solution managers covering our active regions with specific geographic objectives. Previously, Sam led Moonfare`s growth in the UK market after joining the company in February 2020. Prior to Moonfare, Sam spent 6 years at Coutts & Co. Privatbank in the international team based in London, where he advised high net worth individuals and family offices on their holistic asset management, including investment planning and structuring of multiple asset classes in different jurisdictions. Sam holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and an MBA from INSEAD and has spent time at French and Singaporean locations.

Until recently, Thomas was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ProSieben Digital Media GmbH since 2009. Prior to joining ProSieben, Thomas was Chief Executive Officer of several divisions of Novartis AG, including Novartis Pharma AG, Pharmaceuticals bei Novartis Consumer Health, Inc., Novartis Nutrition World Wide and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Division. He also served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Torrent Systems, Inc. Thomas worked at Pepsi-Cola in Germany as Chief Marketing Officer before becoming Chief Marketing Officer and National Director of Sales and Franchises. Prior to joining Pepsi-Cola, Thomas held various positions at Reemstma Germany. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of Bayer Aktiengesellschaft (also known as Bayer AG), a member of the Supervisory Board of GfK SE, a member of the Advisory Board of the UBS Oncology Impact Fund and a director of Cullinan Oncology, LLC. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Sivantos, a leading global hearing aid company. Previously, Thomas was an independent director of Lonza Group Ltd and a director of Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Mr. Ebeling holds a Master`s degree in Psychology from the University of Hamburg. Heinrich is a co-founder of Moonfare and supports Moonfare as a board member, strategic advisor and president of Asia. Heinrich is Professor of MBA and Executive Programs at IESE Business School and President of IESE`s Munich campus. He specializes in corporate finance, asset management and entrepreneurial family governance. Heinrich is co-author of several publications on private equity. His ongoing research in this area focuses on operational value creation in private equity, impact investing and the governance of entrepreneurial families. As a consultant, he has worked with leading families and financial institutions and is a board member of family foundations. Prior to his academic career, Professor Liechtenstein worked for the family business Liechtenstein Global Trust (LGT), which looks after ultra-high net worth individuals. He also advised families within the Boston Consulting Group and founded and sold two successful businesses. Heinrich holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences and Applied Economics from the Vienna School of Economics, Austria, a Master of Business Administration from IESE Business School and a Bachelor`s degree in Business Economics from the University of Graz.
